Athena is the goddess of inventions, wisdom and civilized warfare. She is also goddess of arts, peace, military victory, strategy, just war, olive trees and independence for women too. Athena's roman name is Mirvana and one of her nicknames is the grey-eyed one.

Athena led battles and wars but only ones that are fought for just reasons. She tried to avoid unnecessary bloodshed. Athena also loved to invent and spent time spreading wisdom among the gods and mortals. Athena was wise like the owl,  so it is fitting that it was one of her symbols.

Athena’s parents were Zeus and Metis. Metis was the first wife of Zeus. Before Athena was born Zeus learned that if Metis bore him a son that he would be concurred. Zeus had Metis turn into many forms until she turned into a fly and he swallowed her.  Athena was born inside Zeus’s skull and Metis made me a full set of battle armor. When Athena popped out of Zeus’s head fully grown I immediately became an Olympian. Athena’s grandfather was Kronos who tried to eat her father, Zeus, whole. Her grandmother is Rhea who saved Zeus.
